During Mom’s last Dr. appointment they discussed Genomic Testing as an option. This testing will allow doctors a window information including:

• If it turns out this is hereditary, she may be able to use what’s referred to as Platinum Chemotherapy
• If it is hereditary form of Pancreatic Cancer, we can use this information to help study the chances that Brad and I (and Madison and Eddie) could inherit this disease
• It can help determine clinical trials that she may be eligible for
• It can help with targeted treatment of the tumors based on their findings

At the time I write this, we don’t have a scheduled appointment just yet but it’s coming very soon. I’ll post more info as it comes along!
